IMO, I think people are just trying to suck up as many as they can at a lower price because the favor is about to run out. And I am pretty sure Anet is not going to re-set the clock this time so, they will be much harder to come by in the near furture.

i'm surprised no one has mentioned DOA gems...i've seen titan gems being bought anywhere from 3k-7k/ea. anyone care to make some fantastical assertions on that?

OT - ectos are 4.9/5.5 at trader probably for the same reason kamadan's hero skill trainer was "kidnapped" a couple weeks ago - crazy programming.

with that in mind, it's kinda hard to make any valid arguments on where the price of ectos is going to go. however, the M.O.X. money & diminishing favor are on the right track IMO - MOX because it's real (virtual!) money, and favor because it's a conceptual thing that people who DON'T read GW Guru are going to begin to panic about soon.

as for me, i haven't a clue as to what price to buy/sell at, so i'm sitting on my ectos for now until either the economy stabilizes a bit more or our OP comes back with the other 1700+ runs and realizes that none of it will really matter once GW2 comes out [crosses fingers]

I'm holding onto all my ectos (both of them) until this maddening fluctuation stops! I have to protect my investments!

Everyone knows that Zkeys are the new compact form of money. People still advertise prices in ectos, but I have yet to find smoeone that won't trade in Zkeys.

I don't know what you are talking about.. Armbraces are my compact form of money. I have 12 armbraces that i am holding on to until the Hall of monuments accepts torment weapons.

Good luck with that. I'm still sitting on my diamonds which I bought for 10k ea (nightfall release price), waiting for the market to stabilize. They're now around 500g, so I'm well on my way to make profit.
